This is the SBMS English Writing Workshop, an online forum for writing, reading, and collaborative learning between students and teacher.

If you'd like to learn more about what we do in English and how we do it, take a look at my Back-to-School night Prezi. You can move around the screen by clicking on anything, and zoom in and out using the zoom tool that appears mid-right screen when you put your mouse there. Also, if you click on any of the "Thinking and Feeling" words/phrases and hit the right arrow key, you'll find the essential question/phrase behind it... I know, confusing. I encourage you to play with it.

The presentation is a visual picture of the various components to effective communication as it relates to English class, and how they relate to each other. The lists within each quadrant are the various activities/routines that I do to develop those skills. "Thinking and Feeling" is where all of these skills meet, and the quote to the left may be the most important reason to study literature.
